General Notes: Husband - Harold Watson

Cause of Death

At the Pope & Pearson colliery in Altofts, breaking in shots had been fired in face opposite a gate end but top coal had not fallen to the back of holing - to get coal down he was standing in gate using a 6ft rail when there was fall which discharged two props and a bar - leg fractured and taken to hosptal. Died of tetanus 4 weeks later.
