He was a bigamist, keeping two families at once in England and there are rumours of a third family in Peru.According to one of his grandson David Pullen, William would spend a couple of weeks with one family and then spend a couple of weeks with the other family. When David Pullen knew William, William was a watchman on the docks, having retired from the marines.[JDB]
