General Notes: Husband - Ode de Turre
Ode de Turre translates as Ode of Turre, the only place so named that I can find is in Southern Spain, so, was Ode originally from Spain? He is known to have been residing in Warwickshire at the time of Henry the first (1120) before moving to the Isle of Axholme. There are known connections with Haxey and the Knights Templar. The Templars had Temples at Turre in Spain, Temple Balsall in Warwickshire and Temple Beltoft (Belton on the Isle of Axholme). Is this the connection, bearing in mind that many later Turre/Torr's were connected to the church.Although all this is a little early for the Templars.[Bill Torr]
