Transcript of Richard's WillIn the name of God Amen, I Richard Poskitt of West Haddlesey in the parish of Birkin and in the county of York, yeoman being of perfect memory and remembrance praysed be God for it doth make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form as followeth. First and principally I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping through the merrits and death and passion of my lord saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon for my sins and foregiveness of that same and to merrit eternal life. My body I comit to the ground to be buried at the discretion of my executor hearafter nominated.
