Transcription of William's will dated 1700, the year before he died:In the name of God Amen the two and twentieth day of December Anno Dm 1700 I William Scott of Burnham in the parish of Haxey County of Lincoln yeom being of good and fort remembrance (praised be to almighty God) do make this my last Will and ? in manner following that is to say first I bequeath my soul and spirit into the hands of Almighty God my heavenly father by whome of his meer and onlyet grace I hu? To be saved and re? Into eternal ? through the death of my Saviour and redeemer Jesus Christ and my body in hope of a joyfull resurrection I comitt to the earth to be buried as my executrix hereafter named shall think good. And ? my estate and the distribution of my goods I disperce of the same as followeth.I will that all such debts as I owe shall be truly paid. Item. I give and devise to my son John Scott and his heires for ever all my freehold land within the ? field territories and p? of Burnham aforesaid Except halfe of the ? lying towards the South and West which.
